Margaret Moncrieff-Kelly

Margaret Moncrieff-Kelly, my long standing teacher and friend, has sadly died. This was an extraordinary lady who transformed my life not only as a musician but as a person, too. She will be missed by many. Two of her favourite works were the sonatas by Grieg and Rachmaninoff which I shall record next and dedicate it to her life and memory, released next June on Signum Classics.

Thank you Margaret - you were unique, and much loved.

She will be sadly missed not only in the world of music but as her alter ego, Helen McClelland, in the world of collectors of the Chalet School series of books.

Thank you for your dedication - I am sure her family and friends will appreciate it.

Yes, a lady of many talents! I also enjoyed her writing enormously. She also made me feel that the world was a better place.

Thank you for your thoughts.

Dear Jamie

I edit the New Chalet Club Journal. Margaret was our President and the next issue of the journal will include all kinds of memories of her. I would be most obliged if you would grant me permission to include your tribute to her. Is this acceptable? I would of course send you a copy of the journal when it is published.

So hard to think that I will not see her again!

All good wishes
