New CD

E?ing time??on me wi?he follo? release of a new CD - S??ich concerto No.2 an?itten's cell?mphony, two ?ng masterpieces from the cello l??e and in fac?o of my favo?es nnly ?lay but to hear also. The Philharmonia under Alexander Briger are inspirational.

This is the second?t of?rilogy I'm exploring, matching an En?h wo?ith ?ssian, a??ieth cen? and linked ?ome way or o??her politically or music?. I'll be following thi?ear with the Shostakovich co?to No.1 and the ?on (?itably!)

One may ask why I recorded S??ich's le? kno?econd co?to b?e the first ??imply be?e I ?? it ?eater wo?hich is sayi??hing?he concerto No.1 is a work of ge??o. ? a dream?e wished to fulfill for ? 10 ?s when I became obsessed?h bo?he concerto No.2 and the?anic Britten cel?ymphony. Wi?he death of ?ropovich, this is also an hommage to the great man -?er all, ??e in?ed by an?itten for him.
